Hello! My name is Merrissa and I am a photographer located in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley specializing in seniors, families and children.
I photograph amazing teens just beginning to find their own path in life, awesome families who are having fun and making memories, and sweet little baby feet taking their first steps. I believe with my whole heart and soul that each of these moments need to be celebrated and captured because the importance of today is tomorrows memories that need to be preserved for generations to come.
When I’m not behind the camera, you can find me scouring the antique shops for new props, exploring a new location with my witty husband and Lego loving son, or in the kitchen whipping up a fresh batch of salsa. I love my family, Mexican food, coffee and sweet treats…maybe a little too much. I enjoy waking up early and photographing the beautiful morning light, gorgeous sunsets, the smell of spring flowers, roasting marshmallows on the campfire and snuggling up on the couch watching a good movie.
I am a wee bit obsessed with photography, which is why I love my job so much. I smile just as much behind the camera as you will in front of it. Every person has a uniqueness and beauty to them. Finding that something special and capturing it is my number one goal. I want you to be comfortable in front of my lens; to just be you, kind, funny, silly, loving, be free to be yourself. I hope to capture you and your family just as you are.
